SAN FRANCISCO-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Rubicon Labs, Inc., a cybersecurity firm developing secure communication technologies for the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) market and cloud-based data centers, today announced details of its participation as part of the keynote address at the Freescale® Technology Forum. The presentation will be made at the Forum tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23 in Austin, Texas.
Rubicon Labs Vice President of Product Rod Schultz will warn that software alone is not enough to deter attacks on highly vulnerable IoT devices. He will urge embedded design engineers to re-think IoT security and develop scalable systems that combine both hardware and software to make keys inaccessible in memory and thus inaccessible to cyber-thieves.
Mr. Schultz will be joined on stage by Akamai’s Chief Architect Stephen Ludin, who will discuss the importance of deploying a true zero knowledge system whose protocols are cryptographically sound for use in data centers and also light enough to scale down to emerging IoT applications. Rubicon Labs and Akamai are working together to develop secure communications technologies.
